About LGTLUX
An engineering practice that thinks like a studio
Founded in 2009 by lighting designers and building-services engineers who were tired of light being an afterthought, LGTLUX was built to give the discipline its own seat at the table — equal parts measurable performance and considered experience.
Our mission
To make light a deliberate act. We exist to ensure that every space we touch is lit with intent — that comfort, energy, ecology, and emotion are designed rather than defaulted, and that what is modeled is what is ultimately measured on site.
How we work
We embed early with the design team, hold the lighting argument through every value-engineering round, and stay on site through focus and verification. Our independence from manufacturers means our specifications serve the project, not a catalogue.
Methodology — four phases
Concept
Lighting narrative, luminance hierarchy, and design intent established alongside the architecture.
Design
Photometric modeling, luminaire selection, and false-colour validation against target metrics.
Engineering
Control architecture, specification, coordination, and tender-ready documentation.
Commissioning
On-site aiming, focusing, scene calibration, and verification against the model before handover.
